By accessing or using Clear ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. Clear is an educational simplification tool designed to help young learners understand complex academic content through AI-powered explanations.

Clear provides AI-powered explanations that simplify complex literature, math, and science concepts into age-appropriate language. The Service includes:

To use Clear, you must create an account through our OAuth authentication system. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Age Requirements: Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent before using the Service.

Billing Terms:

• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renew unless canceled
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial months or unused explanations
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

You agree NOT to use Clear to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Use explanations to cheat on exams or plagiarize academic work
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Resell or redistribute explanations or Service access
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the Service

IMPORTANT: Clear uses artificial intelligence to generate explanations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information.

Your Content:

You retain ownership of any text you input into Clear ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

AI-Generated Explanations:

Explanations generated by our AI system are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may save, export, and share explanations as permitted by your subscription plan.

Our Intellectual Property:

The Service, including its design, functionality, code, and branding, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Clear, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for:
